FAQ
How does playback speed affect duration?
New duration equals original duration divided by speed. For example, 60 minutes at 2x
becomes 30 minutes.
How much time do I save at 1.5x or 2x?
At 1.5x, you save about 33%. At 2x, you save 50%. This calculator shows the exact value for
your specific duration.
What input formats are supported?
You can enter
hh:mm:ss, mm:ss, plain minutes (like 135), or
a mixed format like 2h 13m.
Does this work for YouTube, podcasts, and audiobooks?
Yes. The math is the same for any audio or video. Just paste the duration and choose your
speed.
Is the result exact?
We round to the nearest second. Different players may show slightly different rounding, but
the difference is usually within 1-2 seconds.
Can I share my calculation?
